Project Foxfish is an ongoing fundraiser to help a charity that I've been involved with.
OSSO, Orphanage Support Services Organization, is a nonprofit group of volunteers that work with orphans in Ecuador. Additionally they provide financial support for many orphanages.
In 2004 I went to Ecuador as part of OSSO for nine months, and have been back several times to visit. When I got married I convinced my husband to move down to Ecuador with me for six months. We are always thinking of ways to go back and help. Due to the economy donations and volunteers have both dropped off steeply.
I'm making different handmade items to sell and donating all the proceeds to OSSO. My Etsy shop is at foxfish.etsy.com . Items will also soon be for sale here on the website. Why two places to buy?
OSSO desperately needs more volunteers and could also use direct donations.
Besides selling items and donating the proceeds to OSSO, my goal is to raise enough money to sponsor an OSSO volunteer who otherwise wouldn't have the money to go. More about this in the future...
